About
Presley Yang is a Los Angeles-based artist whose practice is rooted in analog photography and alternative processes. His work explores the interplay between image and material, using photography not as a means of representation but as a tactile, alchemical practice.
Drawing from the unpredictability of nature, he engages with landscapes and natural phenomena through experimental darkroom processes such as liquid emulsion, cyanotypes, and plant-based developers. By embracing the physicality of photographic materials, he examines the liminal space between image and object, permanence and impermanence. His work seeks to capture photography’s paradox—its ability to freeze a moment in time while remaining inherently fluid and ever-changing.
